Well - it's Minnesota! It is the last day of March and we are scheduled to get 4-7 inches! Spring where are you?

Future I.U. Fan?

Sammy is spending more and more time awake during the day - this morning he spent at least two hours awake - the first hour he just spent talking and smiling! He loves his swing, it has fish above and he spends time looking and talking to them.

TWO MONTHS OLD!!!

Sam is now two months old and time is flying by! He went to the doctor for shots and checkup - he weighs 13 lbs. 12 oz and is 22 inches long. He is growing like crazy. Carina also went for her 3 year checkup and is doing very well. She was in the room with her gown on waiting for the doctor to come in and told Jeff and I "I look horrible in my dress" - we just looked at each other and laughed! Jeff said, "you do not look horrible". We are constantly amazed by what she says. She was also in the room when Sam had to get his shots and took it pretty hard and started crying! Between her crying and mom trying to be brave it was a difficult time - good thing Jeff was there!

So tired - what a long day!

this is the roller coaster - Jeff, Tony and Nathan rode at the mall! See the video!

Big Sam this is how he spent his time at the mall
Gavin decided Sam had the right idea!

Yesterday we took the kids to the Mall of America and went to the amusement park, Lego land and Rainforest cafe for lunch. The kids had a great time riding rides and playing.

I was very nervous for Carina - but she absolutely LOVED this ride - it takes the kids up and drops down (bouncing) - she called it the bouncy ride.

Gavin and Sam - First Easter!
Happy Easter!

On Saturday the Mundo's came to spend Easter with us! Carina was so excited she asked for at least two days are cousins here yet? When they got here the fun began!

Happy Birthday Hoosh!

Grandma Connie sent Sam and Carina an Easter present - thank you Grandma!
It looks like they are discussing the bunnies they received (actually Sam got a dog)!
Thank you!
Poor Sam, he already loves the recliner!

This is Carina's new love - setting the table. It is nice to have a "helper".
Oh Minnesota: This is what we woke up to on Monday morning. Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Andy, Julie and Natalie sent Carina a birthday present and a present for Sam. Thank you we will have a lot of fun playing the game!

Sam started really interacting today! He has smiled a few times these past couple of weeks but today he was responding and smiling! So much fun - now the fun begins!!

My big boy! Isn't he cute!

Carina is so funny - let me just share with you some of the things she says: This picture is something Carina saw on a commercial - she is telling you "CAll Me" as she signs a telephone on her ear. While we were in Indy she requested chips from my mom, she didn't say "chips please" like I would have liked her to say. Instead she yelled "CHIPS" like some ordering no manners... when my mom told her that she needed to ask nicely she stated "you ruined my life..." - my mom and I laughed, I don't know where she heard this! Some of her common phrases are "listen to me" and "I am going to be really sad (she thinks this will get her any thing she wants)". I have to say that there is something new everyday and Jeff and I are reminded how big she is getting. It is really fun. She is now 3 years old and the time has just flown by, which makes me want to treasure everyday more and more. Carina has been potty trained for at least six months and does not need any diapers at night! What is really great is that now she is even going to the bathroom on her own! Which is even better...
She loves Sam and likes to say "Oh what a cutie" (which sounds a lot like what Grandma Connie says). Carina's big desire at this moment is to take ballet which she talks about practically everyday! Don't worry she will be starting dance this summer along with her gymnastics class.

Carina and Gannon went to see "Horton Hears a Who" today and then to see the Easter Bunny and out for lunch...

It's always fun to drink the ice cream from the bowl!
Like my milk mustache?

After Chuckie Cheese we went to get ice cream. This is typical of Carina telling Gannon what to do - poor Gannon. I will say that by the end of the night they were hugging and Gannon stole a kiss. Michele and I felt like we were watching two people on a date or a high school dance!
Alex thinks that if he gets on top of the sandbox he will keep his feet from getting cold? So silly since there is a pile of snow on top of the sandbox!
Sam getting so big!
Carina is ready to go
