This morning I told Carina we were going trick-or-treating tonight because today is Halloween. This is how are conversation went: Carina: "Are we going by ourselves?"
Me: "Do you mean just the kids? No Adults?"
Carina: "Yeah."
Me: "No honey you can't go trick-or-treating by yourself."
Carina: "Oh good because I can't handle the kids, I'm not old enough." She had this big sigh of relief in her voice, I'm not sure why she would think I would have her Sam and Audrey go by themselves trick-or-treating? Oh Carina her mind is always thinking...too funny!!

Yesterday we got a card from Gannon and Paige, saying Happy Halloween. In the picture they had on their costumes. Sam loves Gannon!! He thought it was very cool that Gannon had on a costume (spider man by the way). So taking advantage of this opportunity of coolness I asked Sam "Do you want to be a lion for Halloween?" and I showed him this Lion costume that my friend Angela had given us. He shook his head yes and we put on the costume. So I am thinking that on Saturday night I am going to bring the picture of Gannon in his costume and I will bring the monkey outfit and the lion outfit and ask Sam which one do you want to wear? Hopefully we will pick one and wear it!!!

This past weekend we went to Aunt Ana's house. We went to the pumpkin patch on Saturday and the outlet mall and then on Sunday we tried to get a good picture of all of the kids dressed in their Halloween costumes. This did not go well for the Purdy family... first Audrey's costume was suppose to be a pea pod but she has apparently grown so much in the last couple of weeks that it did not fit!! Thank goodness Aunt Ana had an extra Bee costume that Audrey can wear. And then their is Sam... oh what can I say he hates his costume!! Some people have suggested he be a baseball player or construction worker and I want to cringe this is what he will have to be when he is too old to be a monkey! Well we will see what happens on Saturday....

This is what happens when an almost two year old decides he is not going to nap during the day. Sam has started a new thing where he doesn't want to nap in the afternoon. Not everyday but the majority of days!! I am hoping this might be a phase....

Taking Carina to school is exhausting. After we took Carina to school Sam had to come home and lay down!

Last Monday Carina started preschool at Crab Apple Country Day School. Here is a picture we took that morning, of course little brother had to get in the picture as well. She had a really good time, she goes Monday, Wednesday's and Friday's for 3 hours. The first day when I asked her how it was she said she made three friends, Kelsey and "I can't remember the other ones names". I have heard her signing a Christopher Columbus song that sounds pretty cute. She must like it because I pull up and drop her off with her teacher and she never complains!!

Our Trip to the pumpkin patch. Two weekends ago we decided to take a trip to Russell's pumpkin patch. Here are just a few of the pictures from our adventure. The day turned out very cold, but the kids still had fun.

She is going to be Ariel for Halloween.

Audrey 8 Months Old!
Audrey is 8 months old this past Monday - she has two bottom teeth which have poked through. She is probably a little over 15 lbs, still a peanut! She loves to eat and is wearing 6-9 month clothes! She is looking forward to her first Halloween and is loved being spoiled living with Grandma Connie right now!
